Charles Lam:  Finance  Chair
Charles  is  our  Finance  Chair,  and  as  such,  has  one  of  the  most  critical
and  vital  roles  in  the  pledge  class.  Although quiet  and  reserved,  Charles
radiates  with  dedication  and  commitment  through  his  actions.  Despite
lacking  experience  with  fundraising,  Charles  has  taken  the  challenges  in
stride  as   has  worked  passionately  and  fervently   to  raise  the  necessary
money  for  our  success.  Recently,  Charles’s  efforts  have  raised  the  pledge
class  over  $1000!  Charles  is  a  Managerial  Economics  major  and  hopes  to
be  “elevated”  and  more  knowledgeable  by  the  end  of  the  pledge  term.

Greg Lee:  Activities Chair
Greg  is  a  third  year  at  UC  Davis  and  has  taken  on  the  position  of
Activities  Chair  for  this  pledge  term.  Witty,  humorous,  and  gregarious,
Greg’s  personality  seems  to  fit  the  position  extremely  well.  Whether  it’s
the  OC,  Laguna  Beach,  Prison  Break,  Secret  Santa,  or  a  Thanksgiving
potluck,  we  can  always  count  on Greg  to  bring  the  pledge  class  together
for  some  quality  bonding  time.  Greg  always  manages  to  cheer  us  up
when  times  are tough,  and  makes  the  good  times  even  better.  Lighthearted
and  very  approachable,  Greg’s  company  is  always  enjoyable  and  we  are
proud  to  have  him  as  a pledge  brother.  Greg  is  a  Managerial  Economics
major and  also  has  an  interest  in  statistics.  His  goals  in  life  include  success,
a  good  family,  and  happiness.
Jane Hsieh:  Community Service  Chair
Inspired  by  her  internship  in  Taiwan  last  year  where  she  worked
with  little  kids,  Jane  has  taken  on  the  role  of  Community  Service
Chair.  Jane’s energy, enthusiasm, and  passion  has  yet  to  be  matched.
Deemed  “bubbly”  by  the  Psi  Pledge  Class,  Jane’s  personality  never
ceases  to  brighten  our  day  and  make  us  laugh  (in  a  good  way,  of
course).  Approachable,  dependable,  and  supportive,  we  can  always

count  on  Jane  to  be  there  for  us  in  times  of  need.  Jane  is  an
International  Relations  major,  and  in  the  future  hopes  to  have  a  good
career,  a healthy  family,  and  strong  bonds.  A  very  big  people  person,
Jane’s  favorite  quote  is, “People  come  into  your  life  for  a  Reason,  a
Season,  or  a  Lifetime.”  Make  sure  to  give  Jane  some  strawberry  ice

cream  or  some  Japanese  candy  if  you  want  to  make  her  happy.  And
Jane?  We  love  you  too.

Lawrence  Tang:  Professional  Chair
Lawrence  is  a  Managerial  Economics  major  and  is  our  Professional  Chair
for  this  pledge  term.  Lawrence  has  done  extremely  well  with  the  position
not  only  by  putting  on  a  great  and  informative  professional  event,  but  also
by  involving  the  rest  of  the  pledge  class  in  his  position.  Every  pledge  meeting,
Lawrence  assigns  topics  for  pledges  to  research,  and  thus  allows  us  to  learn
more  about  the  professional  world  and  practice  our  public  speaking  skills.

Lawrence  hopes  to  have  a  career  in  accounting,  finance,  or consulting,  and
wants to  own  a  business  some day.  His  goals  in life  include  having  a  happy
family  and  having  a  successful  job.  Lawrence  is  an  excellent  team  player  and
leads  by  example  rather than  words.  Lawrence  has  really  embodied  the  position
of Professional  Chair,  and  we  are  excited  to  see  what  else  he  has  in  store  for
us.

Andrew  Yuan:  Historian
Although  Andrew’s  position  consists  of  documenting  our  pledge  term,
he has  refused  to  take  a  backseat  in  the  class  and  is  one  of  the  most
actively involved  pledges.  Andrew  is  currently  one  of  the  leaders  for  our
magazine fundraiser,  and  is  the  leading  seller  of  Jamba  Juice  mugs,  another
fundraiser. Like  most  of  the  pledges,  Andrew  is  also  a  Managerial  Economics

major  and  hopes  to  be  an  accountant  in  the  future.  His  mains  goals  are  to
build  a  family  and  have  a  solid,  stable  job.  Although  fairly  quiet  and  soft
spoken,  Andrew  also  leads  by  example,  inspiring  us  by  his  steadfast

commitment  to  the  Psi  Pledge  Class.

Anita Chan:  Secretary
Detail oriented, meticulous, and typing at an impressive sixty words per minute,
Anita is our secretary for this pledge term.  Taking extensive and comprehensive
minutes during our pledge meetings, Anita has done an excellent job at her position.
Because Anita is always on top of things, we receive the minutes from each pledge

meeting within an hour of its conclusion.  But besides being great at her position,
Anita is also a wonderful pledge bro who will always lend a helping hand or a receptive
ear.  Her favorite quote reflects her personality: “A true friend is someone who thinks
that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.
” Anita
is an Economics major, and hopes to have a wonderful family and be happy
with her life.  We are proud and to have Anita as our pledge bro.
Biographies

June-June:  Morale  &  Newsletter Chair:
June-June  began  the  year  by  taking  on  the  position  of  Morale  Chair
and  has  been  doing  an  excellent  job  up  to  this  point.  Her  morale  games
during  pledge  meetings  not  only  boost  our  energy,  but  create  quality  bonding
time  between  the  pledge  brothers  while  also  giving  us  a  new  perspective  on
things  such  as  teamwork  and  high  pressure  situations.  Constantly  involved,

June-June  always  sends  us  funny  pictures  or  videos  and  encourages  us  to
relax  and  take  a break  for  a  few  minutes.  Now  that  we  are  over  the  slope
of  the  pledging  process,  her efforts  are  appreciated  more than  ever  as times
are  stressful  and  a lot  of  work  needs  to  be  done.  June-June  has  also

stepped  up  and  agreed  to take  on  the responsibility  of  Newsletter Chair.
Organized  and  highly  efficient,  June-June  has  impressively  picked  up  the

position  where  it  left  off,  immediately  notifying  pledge  brothers  of  deadlines
and  the  necessary  requirements.  June-June  is  a  Managerial  Economics  and
Chinese  major,  and  her  three  biggest  goals  in  life  are  to  take  care  of  her
family,  become  successful,  and  stay  close  to  the  people  she  loves.

Dave Arizabal: Treasurer
Loud, friendly, and extremely extroverted, Dave is our treasurer for the
Fall quarter.  Dave has done an excellent job managing our budget and keeping
tabs on our expenses and revenue.  Every pledge meeting, Dave updates us on
any new expenses that we have incurred and notifies us of the necessary money
that we still need to raise.  He is also very committed to the pledge class, often
sacrificing work to attend the pledge events and helping us complete our
requirements.  Dave works as a teller for Bank of America where he must
be very responsible, careful, and meticulous with other people’s money.  Dave
is afourth year majoring in economics and communications.  He hopes to become
an entrepreneur in the near future.  Make sure and have a chat with Dave if you
see him; his company is thoroughly enjoyable.

Christina  Umehara:  Chancellor
Although  relatively  quiet  and  calm,  Christina  has  challenged  herself  this
Fall  quarter  and  taken  on  the  position  of  Chancellor.  As  such,  Christina
is responsible  for  keeping  order  during  pledge  meetings  and  making  sure

that  our  meetings  go  smoothly.  The  position  is  a  demanding  one,  and  Christina
has  done  a  wonderful  job  stepping  outside  of  her  comfort  zone  and  being
assertive. But  besides  succeeding  at  her  position,  Christina  is  always  very

involved  in  other  aspects  of  our  pledge  class.  Since  she  is  less  artistically
challenged   than  the  rest  of  us,  Christina  is  quick  to  take  on  projects  which
involve decorating.  Recently,  she  made  posters  for  our  Bowling  Bonanaza
fundraiser and  is  also  working  on  a  banner  for  our  Krispy  Kreme  fundraiser.
Christina is  a  fourth  year  at  UC  Davis,  and  we  hope  to  make  the  most  of
the short  time  we  have  with  her.

Natalie  Wang:  President
"Made  weak  by  time  and  fate  but  strong  in  will,  to  strive,  to  seek,  to  find  and  not  to  yield."  Spoken  like  a  true  president.  Natalie  is  the  driving  force  behind  our  goals,  our  actions,  and  our  motivations.  As  our  leader,  Natalie  supports  us,  encourage us,  and  drives  us  to  improve.  Natalie  may  set  high  standards,  but  we  have  taken  her  ambitions  to heart,  using  them  as  a  daily  reminder  to  better ourselves  and  go above  and  beyond  all  expectations.  Natalie  is  a  Managerial  Economics  major,  and  loves  to  travel.  Her  three  biggest  goals  in  life  are  to  be  successful  (by  her  definition),  to  travel  the  whole  world,  and  to  make  her  mother  proud  and  give  her  everything  she  wants.  Look  for  Natalie  to  be  an  integral  part  of  Delta  Sigma  Pi  in  the  future.

Nikita Gurvits: Web Coordinator
Throughout this pledge term, Nikita has proven himself to becommitted, hard working, and strong-minded while always remembering to treatothers with compassion, consideration, and respect.  Having no previous experience with creating awebsite, he chose to challenge himself and succeeded in creating a highlyinformative website that does an excellent job in representing the Psi PledgeClass.  Along with Nikita’s greatpersonality comes his humor which always finds a special way of lightening themood and putting a smile on everyone’s face. His passion and determination are apparent in everything that he doesand he inspires his fellow pledge brothers to possess these samequalities.  Nikita is an essential memberof the Psi Pledge Class and his ambition will take him to great heights.
